THE PRIMARY OBJECT IS THE RELIEF OF DISTRESS WANT SICKNESS HUNGER THIRST HOMELESSNESS AND OTHER SUFFERING AMONG PEOPLE OF ANY NATIONALITY OR RACE IN ANY PART OF THE WORLD OCCASIONED BY FLOOD FAMINE DROUGHT STORM EARTHQUAKE OR OTHER DISASTER OF ANY KIND. THE SECONDARY OBJECTS ARE: (A) THE REHABILITATION OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE SUFFERED AS THE RESULT OF ANY SUCH DISASTER AND WHO ARE UNFITTED BY REASON OF AGE WEAKNESS ILL-HEALTH OR POVERTY TO HELP THEMSELVES; (B) THE MITIGATION AND (SO FAR AS POSSIBLE) PREVENTION OF THE SUFFERING WHICH WOULD BE OCCASIONED TO SUCH PEOPLE BY THE RECURRENCE OF ANY SUCH DISASTER.
