TO ASSIST IN THE FUNDING OF POST-GRADUATE EDUCATION, PARTICULARLY OF RESEARCH STUDENTS, AND RESEARCH INTO THE COUNTRYSIDE ECONOMY, THE COUNTRYSIDE INVIRONMENT AND THE COUNTRYSIDE COMMUNITY AND TO PUBLISH THE RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH IN BRITAIN AND MEMBER STATES OF THE EUROPEAN COMMINITY.
