Charitable objects
TO PROMOTE THE WELFARE OF THE AGED IN ANY MANNER WHICH NOW IS OR IN THE FUTURE MAY BE DEEMED BY LAW TO BE CHARITABLE WITHIN THE TOWN OF GREAT TORRINGTON (OTHERWISE TORRINGTON) AND ITS DISTRICT AND IN PARTICULAR TO PROVIDE A CENTRE WHERE THE ELDERLY OF THE TOWN AND DISTRICT WILL BE ABLE TO MEET AND TO ENGAGE IN SOCIAL AND OTHER ACTIVITIES.
