Charitable objects
4.1 THE OBJECT OF THE CHARITY, FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, IS THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION BY THE ESTABLISHMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF NON-DENOMINATIONAL DAY SCHOOLS WHICH ARE OPERATED AS EVANGELICAL CHRISTIAN NON-PROFIT MAKING SCHOOLS FOR CHILDREN TO BE MANAGED AND ADMINISTERED AS CHARITABLE FOUNDATIONS. 4.2 THIS ARTICLE 4 MAY BE AMENDED BY SPECIAL RESOLUTION, BUT ONLY WITH THE PRIOR WRITTEN CONSENT OF THE CHARITY COMMISSION. 4.3 THE GOVERNORS SHALL NOT DO ANYTHING, OR AUTHORISE ANYTHING TO BE DONE, IN FURTHERANCE OF THE CHARITABLE PURPOSES SET OUT IN ARTICLE 4.1, WHICH WOULD BE INCONSISTENT WITH THE DOCTRINAL BASIS. 4.4 THE DOCTRINAL BASIS MAY BE AMENDED OR SUPPLEMENTED BY A RESOLUTION OF THE GOVERNORS PASSED BY A MAJORITY OF AT LEAST 75% OF THEM.
