Charitable objects
(1) THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY ARE TO ADVANCE THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION AMONG WOMEN AND YOUNG PEOPLE OF EITHER SEX, TO ADVANCE THEIR EDUCATION, TO RELIEVE THEIR POVERTY AND TO PROMOTE ANY OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THEIR BENEFIT BY PROMOTING THE WORK OF THE YWCA IN THE CENTRAL AREA.
(2) SUBJECT TO THE PROVISIONS OF CLAUSE 7 OF THIS SCHEME (USE OF INCOME AND CAPITAL):
(A) IN EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES AND WITH THE PRIOR WRITTEN APPROVAL OF THE CHARITY COMMISSIONERS THE PROPERTY OF THE CHARITIES MAY BE APPLIED FOR THE BENEFIT OF AN ADJOINING AREA.
(B) IF THE PROPERTY OF THE CHARITIES IN THE FIRST PART OF THE SCHEDULE TO THIS SCHEME CANNOT BE APPLIED IN THE CENTRAL AREA, IT MAY BE APPLIED FOR THE GENERAL CHARITABLE PURPOSES OF THE YWCA IN ENGLAND AND WALES.
(C) IF THE PROPERTY OF THE CHARITIES SPECIFIED IN THE SECOND PART OF THE SCHEDULE TO THIS SCHEME ARE SOLD THE PROCEEDS OF SALE MAY BE APPLIED FOR THE GENERAL CHARITABLE PURPOSES OF THE YWCA IN ENGLAND AND WALES.
(D) IF THE PROPERTY OF THE CHARITY SPECIFIED IN THE THIRDS PART OF THE SCHEDULE TO THIS SCHEME IS SOLD THE PROCEEDS OF SALE MUST BE DIVIDED IN THE RATIO 15,000:104,250. THE LARGER PART MAY BE APPLIED FOR THE GENERAL PURPOSES OF THE YWCA IN ENGLAND AND WALES. IF THE SMALLER PART CANNOT BE APPLIED IN THE CENTRAL AREA IT MAY ALSO BE APPLIED FOR THE GENERAL PURPOSES OF THE YWCA IN ENGLAND AND WALES.
