1.RELIEVING EITHER GENERALLY OR INDIVIDUALLY PERSONS RESIDENT IN THE PARISH OF BETLEY WHO ARE IN CONDITIONS OF NEED,HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS BY MAKING GRANTS OF MONEY OR PROVIDING OR PAYING FOR SUCH ITEMS,SERVICES OR FACILITIES CALCULATED TO REDUCE THE NEED,HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS OF SUCH PERSONS. 2.PROMOTING EDUCATION (INCLUDING SOCIAL AND PHYSICAL TRAINING) OF PERSONS UNDER THE AGE OF 25 YEARS WHO (OR WHOSE PARENTS) ARE RESIDENT IN THE SAID PARISH AND WHO ARE IN NEED OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE.
