THE RESTORATION RECONSTRUCTION PRESERVATION MAINTENANCE AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE MANCHESTER BOLTON AND BURY CANAL FROM NOB END,LITTLE LEVER,BOLTON TO (1) THE RIVER IRWELL IN SALFORD. (2) CHURCH WHARF BOLTON AND (3) BURY BRIDGES NEAR BOLTON STREET,BURY AND FROM BURRS BURY TO ELTON RESERVOIR,BURY (HEREINAFTER CALLED "THE WATERWAYS") FOR THE USE OF THE PUBLIC. PROVIDED THAT THESE PRIMARY OBJECTS SHALL BE CARRIED OUT AND THE POWERS HEREINAFTER CONFERRED UPON THE SOCIETY SHALL BE EXERCISED EXCLUSIVELY IN A MANNER BENEFICIAL TO THE PUBLIC AND RECOGNISED BY THE LAW OF ENGLAND AND WALES AS CHARITABLE.
