Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY ARE: 1) TO RELIEVE FINANCIAL HARDSHIP BY PAYING GRANTS TO BENEFICIARIES WHO HAVE LIVED IN BEDFORD FOR NOT LESS THAN FIFTEEN YEARS PROVIDED THAT, THE TRUSTEES MAY SUSPEND OR TERMINATE THE APPOINTMENT OF A BENEFICIARY IF THE CONTINUING PAYMENT OF THE GRANT WOULD HAVE THE EFFECT OF RELIEVING PUBLIC FUNDS; AND 2) FOR USE IN BEDFORD OR FOR THE BENEFIT OF PERSONS WHO ARE RESIDENTS OF BEDFORD FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT FOR ALL PURPOSES THAT ARE CHARITABLE UNDER THE LAWS OF ENGLAND AND WALES FROM TIME TO TIME.
