TO APPLY THE CAPITAL AND INCOME OF THE TRUST MONEYS FOR ANY CHARITABLE PURPOSES DIRECTED WHOLLY OR MAINLY FOR THE BENEFIT OF PERSONS RESIDENT OR EMPLOYED IN THE COUNTY BOROUGH OF HUDDERSFIELD OR IN THE IMMEDIATE NEIGHBOURHOOD THEREOF AND IN PARTICULAR (A) TO CONTRIBUTE TO CHARITIES IN THE COUNTY BOROUGH AND (B) TO ALLEVIATE DISTRESS AND SUFFERING AMONGST NEEDY SICK AND INFIRM PERSONS RESIDENT OR EMPLOYED AS AFORESAID.
