TO WORK FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE AREA COMPRISING THE GEOGRAPHICAL COUNTY OF KENT AS FROM TIME TO TIME CONSTITUTED BY STIMULATING INTEREST IN AND CARE FOR THE BEAUTY, HISTORY AND CHARACTER OF THE SAID COUNTY AND BY ENCOURAGING THE PRESERVATION, DEVELOPMENT AND IMPROVEMENT OF FEATURES OF GENERAL PUBLIC AMENITY OR HISTORIC INTEREST THEREIN.
