FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC FOR THE PROMOTION OF THE HISTORICAL KNOWLEDGE OF THE CITY OF LONDON AND ITS ENVIRONS THROUGH EDUCATION AND/OR CONSERVATION AND/OR BY THE CARRYING OUT OR THE SUPPORTING OF ARCHAEOLOGICAL RESEARCH INCLUDING: (1) EXCAVATIONS AND OTHER ARCHAEOLOGICAL AND RELATED HISTORICAL INVESTIGATIONS IN THE SAID CITY AND ITS ENVIRONS; (2) PUBLISHING OR MAKING AVAILABLE REPORTS AND OTHER DATA OF SUCH EXCAVATIONS RESEARCH AND INVESTIGATIONS; AND (3) CONSERVING AND PROVIDING ACCESS IN THE SAID CITY OR ELSEWHERE TO SUCH REMAINS AND OBJECTS AS MAY BE FOUND AS A RESULT OF SUCH EXCAVATIONS RESEARCH OR INVESTIGATIONS.
