TO RELIEVE PATIENTS AND FORMER PATIENTS OF LOCAL HOSPITALS WHO AND OTHER INVALIDS IN THE COMMUNITY WHO ARE SICK, CONVALESCENT, DISABLED, HANDICAPPED, INFIRM OR IN NEED OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND, GENERALLY, TO SUPPORT THE CHARITABLE WORK OF HOSPITALS.
