TO PROMOTE THE BENEFITS OF THE INHABITANTS OF FARINGDON AND ITS NEIGHBOURHOOD IN OXFORDSHIRE WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR RACE BY PROVIDING FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE LIFE OF THE SAID INHABITANTS.
