FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN THE VILLAGE OF PITCOMBE AND ITS IMMEDIATE SURRONDS IN THE PARISH OF PITCOMBE, SOMERSET;TO SECURE THE CONSERVATION, PROTECTION, DEVELOPMENT AND IMPROVEMENT OF BUILDINGS AND FEATURES OF HISTORIC OR PUBLIC INTEREST IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT.TO PROMOTE HIGH STANDARDS OF PLANNING AND ARCHITECTURE IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT.TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC IN THE GEOGRAPHY, HISTORY, NATURAL HISTORY AND ARCHITECTURE IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT.
