TO PROVIDE AND MAINTAIN IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE A SWIMMING POOL FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE PARISH OF GILLINGHAM AND ITS IMMEDIATE VICINITY WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX OR OF POLITICAL RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS, WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE SAID INHABITANTS.
