(1) TO RELIEVE PAIN AND SUFFERING AMONG CHRONICALLY OR TERMINALLY ILL CHILDREN (2) TO RELIEVE DESPAIR AMONG THE FAMILIES OF CHRONICALLY OR TERMINALLY ILL CHILDREN AND AMONG BEREAVED FAMILIES OF THOSE CHILDREN; AND (3) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC PARTICULARLY AMONG NURSES IN THE CARE OF SICK CHILDREN.
