1) THE PRESERVATION AND CONSERVATION FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC OF THE HISTORIC NORTHAMPTON TO MARKET HARBOROUGH RAILWAY LINE, ITS STRUCTURES, ASSOCIATED ROLLING STOCK AND HISTORY. 2) THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION IN THE TECHNIQUES AND METHODS FOR CONSERVATION AND OPERATION OF STEAM AND DIESEL ENGINES AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT AND BUILDINGS BY THE PROVISION OF TRAINING IN SUCH AREAS
