Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: (1) FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, THE PRESERVATION, RESTORATION, MAINTENANCE, REPAIR AND IMPROVEMENT OF LEASOWE LIGHTHOUSE (A GRADE II LISTED BUILDING), WIRRAL AND ITS IMMEDIATE ENVIRONS AND TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE HISTORICAL, ARCHITECTURAL AND CONSTRUCTIONAL HERITAGE THAT EXISTS IN AND AROUND THE SAID LIGHTHOUSE;(2)THE PROVISION AND MAINTENANCE OF A FACILITY FOR THE USE OF THE INHABITANTS OF MERSEYSIDE AND ITS SURROUNDING AREAS WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF A POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS, INCLUDING USE FOR (A) MEETINGS, LECTURES, CLASSES AND (B) OTHER FORMS OF RECREATION AND LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE INHABITANTS; AND (3) SUCH OTHER EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT AS THE TRUSTEES MAY DETERMINE IN THEIR ABSOLUTE DISCRETION FROM TIME TO TIME.
