Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TO ADVANCE RELIGION BY ASSISTING IN THE SUPPORT OF THE CATHEDRAL AND CONTRIBUTING BOTH FINANCIALLY AND IN OTHER APPROPRIATE WAYS TO ITS PRESERVATION, MAINTENANCE, ENHANCEMENT AND MINISTRY AND IN FURTHERANCE THEREOF BUT NOT OTHERWISE: 3.1 TO ENCOURAGE AND NURTURE PUBLIC INTEREST IN THE CATHEDRAL IN THE LOCAL COMMUNITY, THE DIOCESE AND THE WIDER WORLD; 3.2 TO ASSIST AND SUPPORT THE DEAN AND THE CATHEDRAL CHAPTER IN MAINTAINING AND IMPROVING THE FACILITIES, AND SERVICES, AND TO DEVELOP AND PROMOTE THE CATHEDRAL’S MISSION.
