THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TO APPLY THE INCOME OF THE CIO IN OR TOWARDS THE UPKEEP AND MAINTENANCE OF ANY CHURCH OR CHURCHES OF THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND IN THE CITY OF YORK AND FOR GENERAL CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE CITY OF YORK. THE CITY OF YORK FOR THESE PURPOSES REFERS TO THE ADMINISTRATIVE BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF YORK AS AT 31 MARCH 1974 TOGETHER WITH THE ADDITIONAL AREAS OUTSIDE THESE BOUNDARIES AND LYING WITHIN THE YORK OUTER RING ROAD, BEING THE A64 TO THE SOUTH AND EAST AND THE A1237 TO THE NORTH AND WEST.
