The central aim and outcome of Compassionate Communities UK is to make the experiences of ill health, death, dying and loss a matter for our whole society by supporting people undergoing these experiences across the breadth of our society. Supportive communities exist wherever there are people, which is everywhere. We will all experience death, dying and loss and it is everybody?s business.

THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO COMPASSIONATE COMMUNITIES UK ARE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT (A) THE PRESERVATION AND PROTECTION OF GOOD HEALTH AND WELLBEING AND (B) THE RELIEF OF PERSONS IN NEED BY REASON OF ANY NEED ARISING FROM DEATH, DYING AND LOSS BY SUCH CHARITABLE MEANS AS THE TRUSTEES SEE FIT FROM TIME TO TIME.
