THE OBJECTS OF ST JAMES'S CHURCH, RYDE THE CIO ARE:
THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE BASIS OF FAITH (SEE APPENDIX 1), PRIMARILY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY TO THE BENEFIT OF THE PEOPLE OF RYDE AND THE REST OF THE ISLE OF WIGHT.
