Charitable objects
3.1 THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT: 3.1.1 TO PROMOTE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC THE CONSERVATION PROTECTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE PHYSICAL AND NATURAL ENVIRONMENT OF THE LAND KNOWN AS TOLL WOOD IN LYNSTED, SWALE, KENT, AND THE PRESERVATION OF ANY BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES OR OTHER ASSEMBLAGES WITHIN AND UPON IT, BY MEANS OF BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY: (A) BROADENING BIODIVERSITY IN THE FAUNA AND FLORA OF THE ENCLOSED CHALKLAND MEADOW; (B) PROMOTING THE HEALTH OF THE NATIVE SPECIES OF TREE AND ANCIENT WOODLAND INDICATOR SPECIES OF PLANT; AND (C) PRESERVING THE FABRIC OF ANY BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES OR OTHER ASSEMBLAGES ON THE SITE AND EXHIBITING THEM TO THE PUBLIC FOR THEIR USE IN STUDY OR RESEARCH; 3.1.2 TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE CONSERVATION, PROTECTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE PHYSICAL AND NATURAL ENVIRONMENT OF NATIVE WOODLANDS AND MEADOWS GENERALLY, INCLUDING THE BIODIVERSITY WITHIN THEM, BY MEANS OF BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY: (A) THE PUBLICATION OF EDUCATIONAL CONTENT ON A WEBSITE; (B) WORKING IN COLLABORATION WITH OTHER ORGANISATIONS TO DELIVER EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES TO THE PUBLIC; AND (C) PROVIDING ACCESS TO TOLL WOOD FOR RESEARCH AND PUBLISHING THE MEANINGFUL RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH. 3.2 NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.
