THE OBJECTS ARE: TO PROTECT, PRESERVE AND ENHANCE THE HARBOUR OF MALDON AND HEYBRIDGE AND ITS RELEVANT HINTERLAND FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC AND TO PROMOTE A WIDER UNDERSTANDING AND RECOGNITION OF ITS MARITIME HISTORY. TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT AS TO THE HISTORIC, SOCIAL AND CULTURAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THE HARBOUR AND ITS HINTERLAND AS PART OF THE HERITAGE OF THE AREA.
