3.1 THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: 3.2 TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN SUBJECTS RELATING TO: (A) THE ENVIRONMENTAL, ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL DIMENSIONS OF SUSTAINABILITY INCLUDING THE ROLE OF DEMOCRATIC GOVERNANCE, ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION, AND NON-PARTISAN INSTITUTIONAL REFORM, AND (B) SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT (BEING DEVELOPMENT WHICH MEETS THE NEEDS OF THE PRESENT WITHOUT COMPROMISING THE ABILITY OF FUTURE GENERATIONS TO MEET THEIR OWN NEEDS) 3.3 TO PROMOTE STUDY AND RESEARCH IN SUCH SUBJECTS AND DISSEMINATE THE USEFUL RESULTS TO THE PUBLIC AT LARGE.
