Charitable objects

A. TO ESTABLISH, ERECT, MAINTAIN AND PRESERVE A MEMORIAL IN NORMANDY TO PERPETUATE THE MEMORY OF THOSE MEMBERS OF THE 6TH AND 7TH BATTALIONS OF THE GREEN HOWARDS WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES DURING THE NORMANDY CAMPAIGN OF THE SECOND WORLD WAR 1939 - 1945 AND B. IF AND INSOFAR AS THE TRUST FUND IS NOT REQUIRED FOR THE PURPOSE AFORESAID TO APPLY OR CAUSE TO BE APPLIED THE SAME OR ANY PART THEREOF IN SUPPORT OF ANY OTHER CHARITABLE TRUST WHICH MAY EXIST FROM TIME TO TIME FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE REGIMENT.
