(2) IF AND IN SO FAR AS THE SAID INCOME IS NOT REQUIRED FOR APPLICATION IN MANNER AFORESAID THE SAME MAY BE APPLIED IN AUGMENTATION OF THE INCOME OF THE MUNICIPAL ALMSHOUSE CHARITIES OR THE PENSION CHARITIES.
