THE PROVISION OF ALMSHOUSES FOR POOR SPINSTERS OR WIDOWS (WITHOUT FAMILIES) WHO ARE OF NOT LESS THAN SIXTY YEARS OF AGE AND OF GOOD CHARACTER, AND WHO (EXCEPT IN SPECIAL CASES TO BE APPROVED BY THE CHARITY COMMISSIONERS) HAVE RESIDED IN THE AREA OF THE ANCIENT PARISHES OF MARKET DEEPING, THORNHAUGH, WERRINGTON AND DEEPING ST JAMES FOR NOT LESS THAN TWO YEARS NEXT PRECEDING THE TIME OF APPOINTMENT.
