THE OBJECT FOR WHICH THE CONFERENCE IS ESTABLISHED IS TO ADVANCE THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION IN PARTICULAR (BUT WITHOUT EXCLUDING ANY OTHER MODE OF ADVANCEMENT) BY STUDYING AND PROPAGATING THROUGHOUT THE WORLD CHRISTIAN TEACHING AS IT BEARS ON SUCH QUESTIONS AS THE DEFENCE AND SECURITY OF NATIONS AND THE PROMOTION OF WORD PEACE.
