THE OBJECTS OF THE ASSOCIATION ARE TO RELIEVE AND ASSIST CHILDREN IN CONDITIONS OF NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS, SUPPORTING THE STATUTORY CARING AND OTHER VOLUNTARY SERVICES OPERATING ON MERSEYSIDE AND ALSO TO GIVE SUCH RELIEF OR ASSISTANCE AS SHALL BE REQUIRED TO OTHER MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY IN CONDITIONS OF NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS, PROVIDED THAT NO OTHER AGENCY IS ABLE TO DO SO.
