Charitable objects

TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN SOUTH ASIAN STUDIES. IN FURTHERANCE OF THE SAID OBJECT BUT NOT OTHERWISE, THE ORGANISATION WILL:- A) PROVIDE A FORUM FOR DISCUSSION OF MATTERS OF CONCERN TO LIBRARIANS, ARCHIVISTS AND SCHOLARS INVOLVED IN THE COLLECTION OF LIBRARY AND ARCHIVAL MATERIALS NEEDED FOR SOUTH ASIAN STUDIES; B) PROMOTE AND CARRY OUT PROJECTS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF LIBRARY AND ARCHIVAL SERVICES FOR SOUTH ASIAN STUDIES, INCLUDING SCHEMES OF INSTITUTIONAL CO-OPERATION; C) PUBLISH AND DISTRIBUTE A NEWSLETTER.
