Charitable objects
TO PRESERVE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PEOPLE OF GREATER LONDON AND OF THE NATION AT LARGE AND WHERE IT IS PRACTICABLE TO DO SO TO FACILITATE AND ENCOURAGE REASONABLE PUBLIC ACCESS TO WHATEVER OF THE HISTORICAL AND CONSTRUCTIONAL HERITAGE MAY EXIST IN AND AROUND GREATER LONDON IN THE FORM OF BUILDINGS (WHICH EXPRESSION SHALL FOR THESE PURPOSES INCUDE ANY BUILDING AS DEFINED BY SECTION 290(1) OF THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1971 AND ALSO ANY GARDEN OR PLANT OR MACHINERY IRRESPECTIVE OF WHETHER IT IS ASSOCIATION WITH A BUILDING) OR PLACES OF HISTORICAL OR ARCHITECTURAL INTEREST.(SEE MEMORANDUM FOR FURTHER DETAILS)
