Charitable objects
THE ADVANCEMENT OF PUBLIC EDUCATION AND APPRECIATION IN THE ARTS OF ORCHESTRAL AND MORE PARTICULARLY CONCERTO MUSIC, BY THE STUDY AND PRACTISE AND PUBLIC PERFORMANCE OF SUCH MUSIC BY ASSOCIATE MEMBERS OF THE SOCIETY OR OTHERWISE UNDER THE AEGIS OF THE SOCIETY. IN FURTHERANCE OF THE OBJECTS HEREINBEFORE DEFINED THE SOCIETY MAY EXERCISE THE FOLLOWING POWERS; PROMOTION OF A YOUNG PERSONS' ORCHESTRA WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO PERFORMING CONCERTO MUSIC. THE ARRANGEMENT AND PROVISION OF THE HOLDING OF CONCERTS, EXHIBITIONS, MEETINGS, LECTURES AND CLASSES SOLELY OR JOINTLY WITH OTHERS. THE OBTAINING COLLECTION AND RECEIPT OF MONIES AND FUNDS BY WAY OF CONTRIBUTION, DONATIONS, LEGACIES, COVENANTS, GRANTS, ADMISSION TO CONCERTS AND OTHER FUNCTIONS REFERRED TO AS ABOVE AND ANY OTHER LAWFUL METHOD OF ACCEPTING AND RECEIVING GIFTS OF PROPERTY OF ANY DESCRIPTION, WHETHER SUBJECT TO TRUSTS OR NOT. THE AFFILIATION TO ANY CHARITABLE BODY WITH SIMILAR OBJECTS AND THE ACQUISITION AND MANAGEMENT OF ALL OR ANY PART OF THE ASSETS, LIABILITY AND ENGAGEMENTS OF ANY SUCH BODY WHICH THE SOCIETY MAY LAWFULLY ACQUIRE.
