TO ADVANCE PUBLIC EDUCATION AND APPRECIATION IN MUSIC AND THE ARTS IN GENERAL PARTICULARLY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE PEOPLE OF THE NORTH OF ENGLAND, THROUGH THE PROVISION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE SAGE GATESHEAD BUILDING, MUSICAL ENSEMBLES AND ORCHESTRAS, PROGRAMMES OF THE FOLK AND TRADITIONAL ARTS, CLASSES, WORKSHOPS, PERFORMANCES, EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMES AND BY ANY OTHER CHARITABLE MEANS THAT THE TRUSTEES MAY FROM TIME TO TIME THINK FIT.
