Charitable objects
THE INCOME SHALL BE APPLIED BY THE TRUSTEES IN ANY OF THE FOLLOWING WAYS FOR THE BENEFIT OF PERSONS OF EITHER SEX WHO HAVE NOT ATTAINED THE AGE OF 25 YEARS, RESIDENT IN THE ANCIENT PARISH OF ST. MARY NEWINGTON, AND WHO, EXCEPT FOR THE PURPOSES OF PARAGRAPH (D) OF THIS SUB-CLAUSE. ARE, IN THE OPINION OF THE TRUSTEES, IN NEED OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE :- (A) THE AWARD OF SCHOLARSHIPS, BURSARIES OR MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCES TENABLE AT ANY SCHOOL, UNIVERSITY, OR OTHER PLACE OF LEARNING, APPROVED BY THE TRUSTEES; (B) THE PROVISION OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, OUTFITS, CLOTHING, TOOLS, INSTRUMENTS OR BOOKS TO ENABLE BENEFICIARIES ON LEAVING SCHOOL, A UNIVERSITY OR ANY OTHER EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENT TO PREPARE FOR, OR TO ASSIST THEIR ENTRY INTO, A PROFESSION, TRADE OR CALLING; (C) THE AWARD OF SCHOLARSHIPS OR MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCES TO ENABLE BENEFICIARIES TO TRAVEL ABROAD TO PURSUE THEIR EDUCATION; (D) THE PROVISION OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO ANY VOLUNTARY ORGANISATION HAVING CHARITABLE OBJECTS DIRECTED TO EDUCATING OR IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF BENEFICIARIES BY DEVELOPING THEIR PHYSICAL, MENTAL OR MORAL CAPACITIES THROUGH THEIR LEISURE-TIME ACTIVITIES; (E) THE PROVISION OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO ENABLE BENEFICIARIES TO STUDY MUSIC OR OTHER ARTS; AND (F) OTHERWISE PROMOTING THE EDUCATION (INCLUDING SOCIAL AND PHYSICAL TRAINING) OF BENEFICIARIES.
