Charitable objects
TO PROMOTE THE MAINTENANCE AND/OR EDUCATION OF BENEFICIARIES BEING CHILDREN AND YOUNG PERSONS UNDER 24 YEARS OF AGE AND IN NEED OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND WHO ARE RESIDENT IN THE UNITED KINGDOM OR THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND AND AT LEAST ONE OF WHOSE PARENTS OR GUARDIANS IS OR HAS BEEN ENGAGED IN THE INSURANCE INDUSTRY IN ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING WAYS: (A) IN AWARDING SCHOLARSHIPS, EXHIBITIONS, BURSARIES OR MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCES TENABLE AT ANY SCHOOL, UNIVERSITY OR OTHER EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENT APPROVED BY THE MANAGING TRUSTEES; (B) IN PROVIDING FINANCIAL GRANTS OR LOANS (WITH OR WITHOUT INTEREST), OUTFITS, CLOTHING, TOOLS, INSTRUMENTS, MATERIALS, EQUIPMENT OR BOOKS TO ASSIST THE BENEFICIARIES TO PURSUE THEIR EDUCATION OR TO PREPARE FOR AND ENTER A TRADE, PROFESSION, OCCUPATION OR SERVICE (INCLUDING PARTICIPATION IN SPORTING ACTIVITIES WHILE ATTENDING ANY SCHOOL, UNIVERSITY OR OTHER EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENT APPROVED BY THE MANAGING TRUSTEES AND INCLUDING ALSO THE STUDY OF MUSIC AND OTHER ARTS AND TRAVEL WHETHER WITHIN THE UNITED KINGDOM OR OVERSEAS); (C) IN OTHERWISE PROVIDING FOR THE MAINTENANCE AND/OR EDUCATION OF THE BENEFICIARIES.
