Charitable objects
1. TO PROMOTE, MAINTAIN, IMPROVE AND ADVANCE EDUCATION BY THE ENCOURAGEMENT OF THE ART AND SCIENCE OF MUSIC AND IN PARTICULAR (BUT WITHOUT PREJUDICE TO THE GENERALITY OF THE ABOVE) TO AWARD AN ANNUAL MUSIC PRIZE TO THE BEST MUSIC STUDENT IN THE FACULTY OF MUSIC IN THE UNIVERSITY OF CAMBRIDGE ('THE FACULTY'), SUCH STUDENT TO BE SELECTED BY THE FACULTY, TO BE CALLED 'THE NIGEL BROWN MUSIC PRIZE' 2. IN FURTHERANCE OF THE ABOVE, BUT NOT FURTHER OR OTHERWISE, TO PRESENT, PROMOTE, ORGANISE, PROVIDE, MANAGE, PRODUCE AND SUPPORT SUCH CONCERTS, MUSICAL PIECES, LECTURES AND MUSICAL ENTERTAINMENT'S AND EXHIBITIONS AS ARE CONDUCIVE TO THE PROMOTION, MAINTENANCE, IMPROVEMENT AND ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION BY THE ENCOURAGEMENT OF MUSIC AND TO FORMULATE, PREPARE AND ESTABLISH SCHEMES THEREOF 3. TO OR FOR THE BENEFIT OF SUCH EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE OBJECTS AND PURPOSES AS THE TRUSTEES MAY IN THEIR ABSOLUTE DISCRETION THINK FIT.
