MEMORANDUM AND ARTICLES OF ASSOCIATION INCORPORATED 6 NOVEMBER 2001 AS AMENDED BY SPECIAL RESOLUTION DATED 9 APRIL 2005.
Charitable objects
TO FURTHER SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE COMMUNITY (IN PARTICULAR THOSE MEMBERS FROM THE BLACK AND MINORITY ETHNIC COMMUNITY (BME) AND THOSE WHO RESIDE ON THE BELLINGHAM ESTATE) IN CATFORD, GREATER LONDON, AS THE COUNCIL OF MANAGEMENT SEE FIT FROM TIME TO TIME IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FORGOING BY: (A) PROMOTING COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN HEALTHY RECREATION BY PROVIDING AND MAINTAINING FACILITIES FOR THE PLAYING OF ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL AND OTHER SPORTS (FACILITIES HERE MEANING LAND KNOWN AS FIRHILL PLAYING FIELD, BUILDINGS EQUIPMENT AND ORGANISING SPORTING ACTIVITIES); (B) PROVIDING AND ASSISTING IN PROVIDING FACILITIES FOR SPORT, RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION OF SUCH PARSONS WHO HAVE NEED FOR SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABLEMENT, POVERTY OR SOCIAL OR ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES OR FOR THE PUBLIC AT LARGE IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE; (C) ADVANCING PUBLIC EDUCATION, IN PARTICULAR THE EDUCATION OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE THROUGH THE PROVISIONS OF EDUCATION AD TRAINING PROGRAMMES (INCLUDING PHYSICAL AND MENTAL TRAINING AND PROGRAMMES DESIGNED TO IMPROVE THEIR SOCIAL, MORAL AND INTELLECTUAL DEVELOPMENT) DESIGNED TO MEET THEIR NEEDS AND THE NEEDS OF THE WIDER COMMUNITY.
