Charitable objects
THE ‘OBJECTS’ OF THE CHARITY ARE: ? TO ESTABLISH AND MAINTAIN A MUSEUM IN ENGLAND AND WALES FOR COMPUTING AND ITS HISTORY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC; ? THEREBY TO COLLECT, HOLD, PRESERVE, MAINTAIN, ARRANGE, RESTORE, CONSERVE, INTERPRET, PROTECT, PRESENT AND DEVELOP ARTEFACTS AND OTHER MATERIAL RELATING TO COMPUTING; ? TO PROMOTE THE STUDY AND PRACTICE OF COMPUTING AND ITS HISTORY, AND TO ADVANCE KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION OF COMPUTING FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC; ? TO DEVELOP AND SUSTAIN ACTIVITIES TO STIMULATE INTEREST IN COMPUTING AND ITS HISTORY; ? SUCH OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSES BENEFICIAL TO THE PUBLIC CONSISTENT WITH THE OBJECTS SET OUT HERE AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL IN THEIR ABSOLUTE DISCRETION DETERMINE. ‘COMPUTING’ SHALL INCLUDE MATTERS CONCERNED WITH THE HISTORY AND FURTHERANCE OF COMPUTER SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY AND THE DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF COMPUTING SYSTEMS AND APPLICATIONS; AND SHALL INCLUDE ANY FORM OF COMPUTING SYSTEM..
