TO RELIEVE THE SUFFERING AND DISTRESS OF ADULT SURVIVORS OF CHILDHOOD ABUSE IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY DOING THE FOLLOWING: DEVELOPING SERVICES OFFERING ACCESS TO PROFESSIONAL COUNSELLING AND PSYCHOTHERAPY; FACILITATING SURVIVOR SUPPORT GROUPS; PROVIDING INFORMATION AND TRAINING TO RELEVANT PROFESSIONALS AND THE PUBLIC; PROMOTING GREATER AWARENESS WITHIN DORSET OF THE NEEDS OF SURVIVORS IN ORDER TO FACILITATE THE DEVELOPMENT OF APPROPRIATE SERVICES.
