Charitable objects
3.1.1 TO MAINTAIN AND INCREASE THE EFFICIENCY OF THE ROYAL MARINES, AND TO PROMOTE AND PRESERVE THE ESPRIT DE CORPS, HERITAGE, ETHOS AND TRADITIONS OF THE CORPS; 3.1.2 TO ASSIST OR BENEFIT PERSONS SERVING IN OR WHO HAVE SERVED IN THE ROYAL MARINES OR OF SUCH DEPENDANTS, SPOUSES, CIVIL PARTNERS, WIDOWS, WIDOWERS, CHILDREN (INCLUDING ADOPTED CHILDREN) OR IMMEDIATE CLOSE FAMILY OF SUCH PERSONS AS MAY FOR THE TIME BEING BE IN NEED OF CHARITABLE ASSISTANCE OR BENEFIT; 3.1.3 TO COMMEMORATE AND REMEMBER THOSE MEMBERS OF THE ROYAL MARINES WHO HAVE LOST THEIR LIVES OR SUFFERED INJURY, OR PUT THEMSELVES AT RISK OF LOSS OF LIFE OR INJURY, IN SERVICE OF THE CROWN AND TO ENCOURAGE PUBLIC RECOGNITION OF THEIR SERVICE AND SACRIFICE; 3.1.4 TO SUPPORT THE ROYAL MARINES, THE ROYAL MARINES CADET SECTION OF THE SEA CADET CORPS, THE ROYAL MARINES CADET SECTION OF THE COMBINED CADET FORCE, THE ROYAL MARINES VOLUNTEER CADET CORPS BY ANY OTHER CHARITABLE MEANS AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL FROM TIME TO TIME PERMIT.
