Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY ARE: 3.1 TO PROMOTE THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF NORTH TYNESIDE, AND IN PARTICULAR WHIINGTON QUAY (THE AREA OF BENEFIT) BY ASSOCIATING TOGETHER THE LOCAL INHABITANTS AND THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF THE SAID INHABITANTS; IN FURTHERANCE OF THIS OBJECT BUT NOT OTHERWISE, THE TRUSTEES SHALL HAVE POWER: TO ESTABLISH OR SECURE THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A COMMUNITY CENTRE AND TO MAINTAIN OR MANAGE OR CO-OPERATE WITH ANY STATUTORY AUTHORITY IN THE MAINTENANCE AND MANAGEMENT OF SUCH A CENTRE FOR ACTIVITIES PROMOTED BY THE CHARITY IN FURTHERANCE OF THE ABOVE OBJECTS. 3.2 TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED PEOPLE RESIDENT IN WILLINGTON QUAY. 3.3 TO ADVANCE THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION; 3.4 NONE OF THESE AIMS BEING INIMICAL TO THE WELFARE OR CONTRARY TO THE PRINCIPLES OF THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND
