2. TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC BY RESEARCH, PUBLICATIONS AND TRAINING CONCERNING THE NATURE, CAUSES AND EFFECTS OF POVERTY, HUNGER, SICKNESS, SUFFERING AND DISTRESS.
