Charitable objects
4. THE CHARITY'S OBJECTS ("OBJECTS") ARE SPECIFICALLY RESTRICTED TO THE FOLLOWING: 1. TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE HISTORICAL AND MARITIME HERITAGE OF BLYTH AND THE COAST OF NORTHUMBERLAND IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY THROUGH THE PROVISION OF: A) VOLUNTEERING, TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR PEOPLE OF ALL AGES IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY IN THE FIELDS OF SAIL TRAINING, MARITIME, ENGINEERING, RENEWABLE ENERGY, TOURISM, AND ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES; B) A HARBOUR SIDE BOAT BUILDING AND REPAIR FACILITY, AND ASSOCIATED SERVICES INCLUDING ITS MAINTENANCE, FOR THE PUBLIC APPRECIATION AND UTILITY 2. TO ACT AS A RESOURCE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE LIVING IN THE NORTH EAST OF ENGLAND BY PROVIDING ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE AND ORGANISING PROGRAMMES OF PHYSICAL, EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER ACTIVITIES AS A MEANS OF: (A) ADVANCING IN LIFE AND HELPING YOUNG PEOPLE BY DEVELOPING THEIR SKILLS, CAPACITIES AND CAPABILITIES TO ENABLE THEM TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCIETY AS INDEPENDENT, MATURE AND RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS; (B) ADVANCING EDUCATION; (C) RELIEVING UNEMPLOYMENT; (D) PROVIDING RECREATIONAL AND LEISURE TIME ACTIVITY IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR PEOPLE LIVING IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT WHO HAVE NEED BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABILITY, POVERTY OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES WITH A VIEW TO IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF SUCH PERSONS.
