Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY ARE THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION BY ASSISTING POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS STUDYING AT THE ROYAL INSTITUTION OF GREAT BRITAIN'S PREMISES IN ALBEMARLE STREET, LONDON OR POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS STUDYING ELSEWHERE IN THE FOLLOWING SUBJECTS:
4.1 SCIENCE RELATED TO THE WORK OF THE DAVY-FARADAY RESEARCH LABORATORY; OR
4.2 THE HISTORY OF SCIENCE AND IN PARTICULAR THE HISTORY OF THE ROYAL INSTITUTION OF GREAT BRITAIN; OR
4.3 CONSERVATION SCIENCE
PROVIDED THAT IF THE TRUSTEE IS UNABLE TO APPLY THE FUNDS OF THE CHARITY FOR THESE PURPOSES THEN IT SHALL UTILIZE THE NECESSARY FUNDS IN PROMOTING THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY TO ENABLE THE TRUSTEES TO ACHIEVE THE TRUST OBJECTS
4.4 ALL GRANTS AND ASSISTANCE TO POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS REQUIRE APPROVAL IN WRITING FROM THE TRUSTEES AT A FORMAL MEETING OF THE TRUSTEES.
