Charitable objects
THE CHARITABLE OBJECTS OF UNITED NATIONS ASSOCIATION- UK (UNA-UK) ARE AS FOLLOWS:- (1) THE FURTHERANCE OF SUCH PURPOSES AS FOR THE TIME BEING AND FROM TIME TO TIME ARE CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH LAW OF ENGLAND AND WALES AS THE TRUSTEES MAY FROM TIME TO TIME IN THEIR ABSOLUTE DISCRETION DETERMINE. (2) WITHOUT PREJUDICE TO THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING THE APPLICATION OF THE INCOME AND CAPITAL OF THE CHARITY IN ANY PART OF THE WORLD IN FURTHERANCE OF ANY OF THE FOLLOWING PURPOSES PROVIDED THAT NO MONIES SHALL BE APPLIED FOR ANY PURPOSE WHICH IS NOT CHARITABLE AS AFORESAID: A)THE PREVENTION AND RELIEF OF POVERTY, HUNGER AND DISTRESS AND THE RELIEF OF THOSE IN NEED BY REASON OF YOUTH, AGE, ILL-HEALTH, DISABILITY, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR OTHER DISADVANTAGE B)THE ADVANCEMENT OF HUMAN RIGHTS, CONFLICT RESOLUTION AND RECONCILIATION AND THE PROMOTION OF RELIGIOUS OR RACIAL HARMONY OR EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY C)THE RAISING OF AWARENESS OF HUMAN RIGHTS ISSUES AND SECURING THE ENFORCEMENT OF HUMAN RIGHTS LAW D)THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE STUDY OF AND RESEARCH INTO INTERNATIONAL PROBLEMS AND INSTITUTIONS WITH A VIEW TO THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC AND THE DISSEMINATION OF THE RESULTS OF SUCH STUDY AND RESEARCH FOR THE PURPOSE OF ASSISTING SUCH RELIEF AS AFORESAID E)THE ADVANCEMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION IMPROVEMENT AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT F)THE PROMOTION OF VOLUNTEERING AND GOOD CITIZENSHIP G)THE SUPPORT GENERALLY, WITHIN THE POWERS HEREBY CONFERRED, OF THE WORK OF THE UNITED NATIONS ORGANISATION OR OF ANY OF ITS RELATED ASSOCIATE AGENCIES INSOFAR AS SUCH WORK PROMOTES ALL OR ANY OF THE OBJECTS MENTIONED IN (A) TO (F) ABOVE.
