TO PROMOTE THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF BEAUFORT HILL AND THE NEIGHBOURHOOL THEREOF AND IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY OF SUCH INHABITANTS OF THE AREA WHO ARE OR HAVE BEEN EMPLOYED IN THE COAL INDUSTRY OR IN ACTIVITIES ALLIED TO THOSE OF THE COAL INDUSTRY TOGETHER WITH THE WIVES HUSBANDS AND DEPENDANT RELATIVES AND THE WIDOWS WIDOWERS AND RELATIVES OF DECEASED PERSONS WHO WERE IN THEIR LIFETIME EMPLOYED AS SUCH.
