TO CONSERVE AND ENHANCE THE HERITAGE ASSETS OF THE CASTLEFIELD AREA FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC BY: 1. PROTECTING AND PROMOTING THE CASTLEFIELD CONSERVATION AREA; 2. WORKING TO SECURE THE PRESERVATION, PROTECTION, DEVELOPMENT AND IMPROVEMENT OF FEATURES OR AREAS OF HISTORIC OR PUBLIC INTEREST; 3. PROMOTING THE CONSERVATION OF THE ENVIRONMENT; 4. EDUCATING THE PUBLIC IN THE GEOGRAPHY, HISTORY, NATURAL HISTORY, CULTURE AND ARCHITECTURE OF THE AREA; 5. PROMOTING HIGH STANDARDS OF PLANNING AND ARCHITECTURE; 6. SUPPORTING THE PROMOTION OF URBAN REGENERATION.
