TO PROMOTE THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF STOKE SUB HAMDON AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS (THE "AREA OF BENEFIT"), IN PARTICULAR, BUT WITHOUT LIMITATION TO, YOUNG PERSONS AND THEIR FAMILIES/CARERS, AND WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, RACE OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS BY ASSOCIATING THE LOCAL AUTHORTIES, VOLUNTARY ORGANISATONS AND INHABITANTS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO PROVIDE FACILITIES AND SERVICES FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING HEALTH, SOCIAL WELFARE AND EDUCATION FOR THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE SAID INHABITANTS. IN FURTHERANCE OF THESE OBJECTS BUT NOT OTHERWISE, THE TRUSTEES SHALL HAVE POWER TO ESTABLISH OR SECURE THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A CENTRE AND TO MAINTAIN AND MANAGE OR TO CO-OPERATE WITH ANY LOCAL STATUTORY AUTHORITY (OR AUTHORITIES)IN THE MAINTENANCE AND MANAGEMENT OF SUCH A CENTRE FOR ACTIVITIES PROMOTED BY THE CHARITY AND ITS CONSTITUENT BODIES IN FURTHERANCE OF THE ABOVE OBJECTS.
