The Commodore Trust exists to acquire, restore and operate the former Commodore Hotel in Pembroke Dockyard as a community project and resource. All stages of the project will have a primary focus of providing an educational and employment resource that will enable residents of Pembroke Dock and area to acquire skills relevant to local employment and their personal confidence and well-being.

Charitable objects
(1) FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION AND THE PRESERVATION OF HISTORICAL HERITAGE BY THE PRESERVATION, IMPROVEMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF THE FORMER COMMODORE HOTEL IN PEMBROKE DOCK, A LANDMARK BUILDING OF HISTORICAL, CULTURAL AND SOCIAL SIGNIFICANCE. (2) TO FURTHER OR BENEFIT THE RESIDENTS OF PEMBROKE DOCK AND THE SURROUNDING AREA, WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, RACE OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS BY ASSOCIATING TOGETHER THE SAID RESIDENTS AND THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECTIVE OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE RESIDENTS. IN FURTHERANCE OF THE OBJECT ABOVE, THE TRUSTEES SHALL HAVE POWER: TO ESTABLISH OR SECURE THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A HERITAGE AND COMMUNITY CENTRE AND TO MAINTAIN OR MANAGE OR CO-OPERATE WITH ANY STATUTORY AUTHORITY IN THE MAINTENANCE AND MANAGEMENT OF SUCH A CENTRE FOR ACTIVITIES PROMOTED BY THE CHARITY IN FURTHERANCE OF THE ABOVE OBJECT. (3) SUCH OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT AS ARE EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE ACCORDING TO THE LAWS OF ENGLAND AND WALES AS THE TRUSTEES MAY FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE.
